Philip Boyd is an American actor and writer. He currently can be seen on the OWN Network portraying “Oscar” in his third season of Tyler Perry’s “The Haves and The Have Nots”. He can also be seen on Netflix in the romantic comedy “In-Lawfully Yours” as “Chaz”. In 2006, Boyd shared a “Best Ensemble Cast”award for his role as “Matt” in “29 Reasons to Run” at the Bare Bones Film Festival. Philip also received a Best Supporting Actor Nominee forhis work in “Clones Gone Wild” at the Action on Film Festival in 2009.Although Philip can be seen in front of the camera, he also has spent time developing and writing films and TV pilots. Upcoming projects for Boyd include the miniseries “Feud” by Ryan Murphy, “Do You See Me”, and “The Dancing Dodo”, based on John Gardner’s best sellers.
